Filmmaking classes offered at FPL!
Your Media will hold a filmmaking academy at the library October 27 – November 17. All classes will be at 5:00 p.m. in the Leverenz room on the second floor.

Filmmaker’s Institute Class Descriptions:
Pre-production:
The Basics of Pre-Production:
This class is designed to give you a foundation in how to begin preparing for a new production. This class will give you an overview of scripting, storyboarding, site surveys, talent releases and helpful tips for you as you begin planning new video or film productions.
Production:
Basic Camera Operation and Shot Composition: This class is designed to teach you how to produce television programs. The training will include field camera and tripod operation, shot composition instruction, setting up field audio and basic shooting techniques. You will learn and gain hands-on experience in each of the above.
Lighting and Audio Basics: This class will focus on basic lighting techniques for video including three-point lighting and using natural light. It will also include tips for what types of microphones to use in various situations.
Post-production:
Basic Non-linear Editing: This class is designed to give you an introduction to non-linear video editing. In this class you will learn how to create new projects, log and capture your video footage, perform basic edits, add transitions, create graphics and output your finished project.
