Get a Library Card

Library Card is Free
If you are a resident of Fayetteville you are eligible for a free library card. People who reside in the city of Rogers, Bentonville or in Washington County are eligible for a free card. Those who work, own property, or attend school in Fayetteville are also eligible for a free library card. Others pay $30 per year for a library card.

It's Easy to Register
You may pre-register from the library's website or register at the library. Please bring a photo ID and verification of your current address. If you do not live in Fayetteville, Washington County, Rogers or Bentonville but work, attend school or own property in Fayetteville, bring appropriate proof, e.g. current property tax bill, pay stub, student ID. Children and teenagers under the age of 18 need a parent present to provide photo ID, verification of current address, and sign for the application. Helpful Tips for Borrowers

  • The due date is usually 14 days from the date the materials were borrowed.
  • The number of items borrowed must be consistent with the needs and rights of other borrowers. The library reserves the right to limit the number of items to be borrowed.
  • You may renew most materials twice if there is no hold on the item.
  • You may renew or reserve materials from the library's website.

A Responsible Community

Providing a library for everyone requires a community of responsible users. As a cardholder, you are responsible for complying with library policies, returning materials on time, and paying all fines and fees. Please notify the Library in the case of loss or theft of a card or library materials or change in name, address or email. We reserve the right to forward unpaid fees to a collection agency, at which time a non-refundable and non-negotiable collection fee will be added to the patron's account.
