What are your favorite things about the Fayetteville Public Library?
My favorite things about the library are the beautiful building itself, the staff who are always so friendly and helpful, the community center atmosphere inside and all the wonderful books.
Why do you support your local library?
I support the library because I have loved books as long as I can remember.
If you were stranded on a desert island with only one book, what would it be?
If I were stranded on a desert island, the one book I would want is the largest one volume encyclopedia available.
What was your favorite childhood book?
My favorite childhood book was Huckleberry Finn.
What is your favorite memory or event attended at the Fayetteville Public Library?
My favorite memory about the library was the day the new building opened.
For your fantasy dinner, which four fictional characters would you invite?
I would invite the fictional characters Huckleberry Finn, Superman, James Bond and the Ancient Mariner to my fantasy dinner.
What book are you recommending to friends right now?
I am recommending to friends Margaret Truman’s biography of her father, Harry S. Truman.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are reading, writing, volunteering, watching movies, working on the computer, family history, cooking and more reading.
What are some of your favorite things about Fayetteville?
I fell in love with Fayetteville when I drove into town back in August 1964. Some of my favorite things are the collegiate atmosphere, the many events and presentations, the way the community works to solve its problems and the beauty throughout the city with flowers and landscaping.
Favorite place in the library to meet friends?
My favorite place to meet friends in the library is the Friends Bookstore.
Favorite place in the library to read?
My favorite place to read in the library is in an easy chair facing the south side window near the magazine section.
