The Fayetteville Public Library will host Sunday Music Series: Mountain Street Stage throughout the month of June.
Mike Sumler, a nationally-known singer-songwriter and musician, and friends John Johnson and Dennis Collins will kick off the series on Sunday, June 7.
The trio will perform a lively mix of original music as well as folk and blues songs.
The series will continue on Sunday, June 14 with a jazz performance by Walter Savage Trio.
The group includes Walter Savage on bass, Ben Harris on guitar and Allan Gibson on trumpet.
The third performer will be the Ozark-inspired sounds of 3 Penny Acre on Sunday, June 21.
The group includes songwriters Shannon Wurst, Bernice Hembree, Bayard Blain and Bryan Hembree.
The series will conclude on Sunday, June 28 with Opal Fly and the Swatters’ mix of musical genres.
Singer-songwriter Opal Fly will play saxophone and baritone ukulele while singing with her band The Swatters.
All concerts will begin at 2 p.m. on the library’s front patio. Concerts will be moved to the library’s Walker Community Room in the event of rain.
The concerts are free and open to the public.
