    • Abstract:
Summary: "Personal trainer Trey Ziegler was in peak physical condition. If you didn't count the kitchen knife in his well-toned chest. Lieutenant Eve Dallas soon discovers a lineup of women who'd been loved and left by the narcissistic gym rat. While Dallas sorts through the list of Ziegler's enemies, she's also dealing with her Christmas shopping list--plus the guest list for her and her billionaire husband's upcoming holiday bash. Feeling less than festive, Dallas tries to put aside her distaste for the victim and solve the mystery of his death. There are just a few investigating days left before Christmas, and as New Year's 2061 approaches, this homicide cop is resolved to stop a cold-blooded killer" -- from Putnam's web site.

Booklist Reviews 2014 September #1

Personal trainer Trey Ziegler had one of the best bodies in the business until someone bashed his head in with one of Trey's trophies. Now Lieutenant Eve Dallas has to figure out who wanted Ziegler out of the picture while at the same time finding Christmas gifts for her friends and helping plan her billionaire husband Roarke's holiday soiree. As Dallas and her partner, Peabody, dig deeper into Trey's life, they discover that not only was the personal trainer offering "extra" services to female clients, but the sleazy scumbag was also doping some of the women in order to take advantage of them. In between trying to find a murderer with whom she is beginning to empathize and dealing with the millions of details involved in hosting a Christmas party on the scale of a presidential inauguration, Eve is starting to feel less like NYPSD's toughest cop and more like Scrooge. Robb (Concealed in Death, 2014) keeps her nearly decade-long In Death series fresh and entertaining. Copyright 2014 Booklist Reviews.
