Booklist Reviews 2018 March #2

Aurora and her finally-boyfriend, Hayden, have left behind the stage that brought them together in How to Keep a Boy from Kissing You (2016). Instead of re-creating Shakespeare comedies, they're now focused on politics: Jelena, one of Aurora's best friends, is running for class president, and Aurora's Find a Prince/Princess dating program is at the heart of Jelena's campaign. Aurora, though, is uneasy—her first kiss with Hayden may have been Disney-perfect, but their second lip-lock sent Hayden to the hospital. Time is running out before the election, and Aurora's supposed to find three students their perfect match. But how is she supposed to play the part of matchmaker when she can't even get a handle on her own relationship? Like the first installment, this is a fluffy contemporary romance that captures all the highs and lows of high-school love. Aurora and Hayden's relationship drama is tempered by Aurora's difficult family situation and her strong friendships, and fans of the first will be excited to see what comes after the happily-ever-after. Grades 7-10. Copyright 2018 Booklist Reviews.
