Spend an hour with award-winning author and historian J. B. Hogan learning about some of the history of the Fayetteville Square.

Join us at 10am on June 5th at the Fayetteville Public Library for a Walk and Talk Adventure with award-winning author and historian J. B. Hogan. Mr. Hogan will meet us in the Blair North Lobby, on the corner of Mountain and School streets, where he will enlighten us by reliving Fayetteville history up Mountain street around the Fayetteville Square and then back to the library via Center. Spaces are limited so don't miss this historic opportunity and sign up now.

J. B. Hogan is an award-winning author with over 270 stories and poems and ten books published. He has a Ph.D. in English Literature, worked for many years as a technical writer, and has researched and written extensively on local history. His book "Angels in the Ozarks" is a history of 1930s professional baseball in the area. He co-authored "An Illustrated History of the Fayetteville Square" with noted local historian Anthony J. Wappel. His own book of local history articles, "Forgotten Fayetteville", is schedule to be published by Oghma Creative Design in October 2021. In October 2019, he received the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Washington County Historical Society and in June 2021 received the Tom Dillard Advocacy Award from the Arkansas Historical Association.
