Critically acclaimed international best seller Ann-Marie MacDonald appears at FPL as the University of Arkansas's 2022-2023 Visiting Writer in Fiction.
The University of Arkansas, in partnership with the Fayetteville Public Library, presents Ann-Marie MacDonald as the 2022-2023 Walton Visiting Writer in Fiction.
Ann-Marie MacDonald is an author, actor and playwright. Her first novel, Fall on Your Knees, a critically acclaimed international best seller, won the Commonwealth Prize, the People’s Choice Award, the Canadian Booksellers Association Libris Award for Fiction Book of the Year, and was short-listed for the Giller Prize. Ann-Marie’s second novel, The Way the Crow Flies, was published in 2003 and was an international bestseller and finalist for the Giller Prize. Adult Onset, Ann-Marie's third novel, was published in 2014 and became a number one national bestseller.
In 2023, the stage adaptation of Fall on Your Knees, will premiere with a four-city tour Ann-Marie was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2019 in recognition of her contribution to the arts, and her activism and advocacy for LGBTQ2S+ rights.
