Jim Warnock’s writing and photography have appeared in numerous articles in Do South Magazine and Entertainment Fort Smith as well as state and national school leadership publications. His book, Five-Star Trails: The Ozarks, was selected as an Arkansas Gems book following his presentation at the Arkansas Literary Festival in Little Rock in 2017.

Warnock’s love of hiking and outdoor adventure led him to like-minded friends who have hiked Arkansas, Missouri, and the west, making repeated trips into the Grand Canyon of Arizona. While he appreciates the challenges of long and legendary trails, he loves to share the joys of day hiking on his home ground in the Ozarks.

Warnock currently serves as a board member of the Ozark Highlands Trail Association and maintains memberships in the Ozark Society, Arkansas Master Naturalists, and the Ozark Trail Association in Missouri.

When not hiking and writing about trails, Jim enjoys photography, drumming, and daily hikes on the Lake Alma Trail with his black Lab, Hiker. You can follow their current outdoor travels at OzarkMountainHiker.com

Book will be available for sale and signing after his presentation.
