Beth will discuss her works The Disappearance of Maud Crawford, and In Their Own Voice: Interviews from the Maud Crawford Investigation. Beth has a background as a reporter. Her investigative series, "Mystery at Camden," about the disappearance of Maud Crawford in her childhood hometown of Camden, Arkansas, was published over a five-month period in 1986 on the front page of the Pulitzer Prize winning Arkansas Gazette.
Beth is president of Luminous Films Inc. She is the writer-producer and director of a trilogy of television movies, A Rainy Day, Summer's End, and Mr. Christmas; that won a total of 25 film festival and television awards and was broadcast on PBS, Showtime, A&E, and Nickelodeon. Formerly an actress, she starred in the CBS television adventure series Gentle Ben for two years and guest starred in some 100 episodic TV shows, receiving Emmy consideration for roles on Bonanza and Hawaii 5-0. In addition, she starred in three motion pictures and three television movies.
Beth has a BA degree in history and political science from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and an MFA degree in film directing from the American Film Institute at Los Angeles. She lives in Sherman Oaks, CA,
