Getting a Library Card
If you are a resident of Fayetteville you are eligible for a free library card. People who reside in the city of Rogers, Bentonville or in Washington County are eligible for a free card. Those who work, own property, or attend school in Fayetteville are also eligible for a free library card. Others pay an annual fee for a library card. If you have questions about residency requirements, please contact us at 479-856-7113 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

You must be at least 13 to apply for a library card online. Applicants under the age of 18 will require parent/guardian permission.
Using Your Library Card
Your library card allows you to check out books and other physical materials from Fayetteville Public Library. Most library items check out for two weeks. DVDs check out for one week. You can check out up to 10 DVDs. Most items may be renewed up to two times as long as there is not a hold on them.
In addition to our physical collections, your library card allows you to access the library's digital collections including e-books, magazines, audiobooks, music and streaming video. You can find the library's digital collections on our databases page. It also allows you to log in to our public computers and check out study rooms.
When prompted to enter your library card into our website or on any of our online services, input your full barcode number without spaces. Your pin number defaults to the last four digits of your phone number.
Using The Website
You can use the library's website to access your account details, see items you have out, renew items, place holds and pay fees. To log in, hit the login button in the top right corner of our website and input your library card number, without spaces, and pin. To pay fees, please click the 'Pay Fees' link under the MyFPL dropdown in the site's menu.
You can also see a list of upcoming events at the library and access the library's digital collections on our website's events page or sign up for the library's newsletters to keep informed about library events. Please note that we have separate newsletters for youth, teen and adult events, so sign up for the newsletters you're most interested in receiving.
If you have trouble finding things on our website, you can always use the search function at the top of our website to find library information, materials and events. Search options include:
