Award-Winning Comics Creator Nate Powell Visits FPL

Registration required:

Join us at 2:00 pm in the Walker Community Room to cap off the Fayetteville Public Library's Free Comic Book Day with a special visit from award-winning comics creator Nate Powell.  Powell, an Arkansas native, will discuss his work on the Coretta Scott King Honor Book March, the New York Times Bestselling graphic novel which tells the story of Congressman John Lewis' experience in the Civil Rights Movement.  Powell's other work includes the Ignatz Award-winning and Eisner Award-winning Swallow Me Whole and the soon-to-be released graphic novel adaptation of Rick Riordan's Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero.

The author talk is free and open to the public and will be followed by a book signing (books will be available for purchase at the event).
