What are your favorite things about the Fayetteville Public Library?

One of my favorite things about the library is that it is green. It is very good that the library is so green because of global warming. The library is helping to bring down some of the greenhouse gases in the air. Another thing that I like about the library is that there are books (Duh!). I absolutely LOVE to read, so any building that has that many books is okay by me!

Why do you support your local library?

Why do I support my local library? I support it for lots of reasons. I support it because it’s green, I can/am learning a lot of stuff there, there are books in it (duh), and it just totally RULES!!! End of discussion.

If you were stranded on a desert island with only one book, what would it be?

If I were stranded on a desert island with only one book, I think that I would want it to be Eclipse. Eclipse is like my all time favorite book THAT I HAVE READ SO FAR. There are still a lot more books out there in the world, but I would want to have Eclipse with me on the island because it has vampires, werewolves, war, action, drama, adventure, romance, and is just basically an awesome book.

What was your favorite childhood book?

I think that my favorite childhood book would be The Hobbit [by J. R. R. Tolkien]. My parents took turns reading it to me when my brother and I were younger, and since then I’ve really liked the Hobbit. However, the one part that I didn’t like that stayed in my memory was when all of the big spiders attacked the dwarves. I hate spiders!

What is your favorite memory or event attended at the Fayetteville Public Library?

My favorite memory/event from the Fayetteville Public Library was when they showed the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The Pirates of the Caribbean series is my favorite movie series ever, so I was really happy when they showed that. I also really liked it because you got to dress up like a pirate and sing some pirate songs.

For your fantasy dinner, which four fictional characters would you invite?

If I had a fantasy dinner and I could invite 4 fictional characters, I think that I would like to invite Gaara of the Sand, Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Hatake Kakashi. They are my favorite characters from the manga series Naruto and they get along pretty well with each other, so I wouldn’t have to worry that much about a fight breaking out amongst them. Hopefully.

What book are you recommending to friends right now?

The books I am currently trying to persuade my friends to read by recommending them to them are all of the books in the Twilight series and Naruto. I’m having a lot of luck with the Twilight series because they’re just so addictive, but some of my friends simply refuse to read Naruto because they don’t like to read graphic novels or they think that the character Naruto or just the series Naruto itself is really stupid. Quite frankly, I disagree with both of those statements, and I’m going to keep on trying to get them to read Naruto because it’s so awesome!!!

What are your hobbies?

I have a lot of hobbies, but I have three main ones. The first is reading. Books are so awesome, and I just LOVE to read. My second hobby is writing. When I grow up, I want to be a famous author, or just an author, like Stephenie Meyer or Tamara Pierce or Gordon Korman. Finally, I like to draw. It’s really fun to draw cats or make a little comic or draw my favorite character that I made up, Audrianna.

What are some of your favorite things about Fayetteville?

One of my favorite things about Fayetteville is that it is a pretty green town (YAY!?). Fayetteville is doing an Alternative Transportation and Trail Master plan so that the citizens of Fayetteville can walk, bike, skateboard, etc. to places instead of using cars and adding greenhouse gases to the air and further harming the ozone layer, thus heating up the Earth. Secondly, I really do think that Fayetteville is a very beautiful place, especially in the summer when all of the leaves are out and it’s very sunny and warm and slightly windy so that the leaves dance around on the trees. Finally, I like Fayetteville because there are so many sources of water here, like creeks, lakes, and streams. It’s really fun to explore a creek, and it is one of my favorite things to do.

Favorite place in the library to meet friends?

My favorite place to meet friends at the library is at Arsaga’s. Arsaga’s has little chairs in front of the counter, so I can sit and wait in those. And as an added bonus, if my friends are late or we just want something to eat, we can buy one of those delicious strawberry smoothies with an ice-cream base that Arsaga’s sells.

Favorite place in the library to read?

My favorite place in the library to read would probably be in one of the little reading nooks that they have downstairs in the children’s section. The couches in them are really comfortable and there are footrests that you can put your feet up on. Or you can put your books onto it. It’s also really nice there because there are windows right beside the couches, so you can look out the window whenever you want and enjoy a spectacular view.
