Event Series & Programs

We have services for all ages and many areas of interest.

Adult:

Yoga @ FPL takes place every Monday evening at 6 p.m. Volunteer yoga teachers offer a variety of practices. Classes are accessible to all levels.

Mountain Street Stage is our weekly summer concert series held in our Event Center. It features local artists.

Teen:

Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is open to students in grades 7–12. TAB helps FPL better serve teens by planning relevant programming, reviewing existing items in library collections as well as recommending new additions, and volunteering at eligible library-sponsored events.

Boxed Book Society is a pressure-free, monthly teen book club that features acclaimed and diverse books. Registrants will receive their book in a book box full of themed treats. We will meet in person at the library and simultaneously on Zoom to chat about books! The best part is you do not have to read the book before the meeting – you can still join us for the chat.

Youth & Family:

WordPlay Writers' Club for 4–12 graders provides a weekly meeting place for young authors who are interested in honing their creative writing skills. Writers receive writing prompts, discuss tips and tricks, and have fun sharing the projects they have been working on.

FPL offers additional activities like arts & crafts, robotics, wellness and more! These programs are designed for specific age groups and led by experienced youth librarians. Check out the calendar for more!

1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a program designed for you and your children ages 0-5. The goal is to read 1,000 books to your child before they enter kindergarten! Reading to children stimulates imagination, helps caregivers and children bond, and forms good habits. By reading together daily, you are establishing a routine that could last a lifetime!
