At FPL, we have a space dedicated not just to teen books but to teens themselves. Complete with a large collection of Young Adult books, study rooms, and a gaming room, the Teen Library is a space to relax, study, hang out with friends, and, most importantly, thrive.
Boundless Book Society is a pressure-free, monthly book club for teens in grades 7–12! The best part is, there’s no pressure to read the book before the meeting! We know that teens already have homework, deadlines and other pressures every day. So if you read that month’s book, great! Come chat about it. If you didn’t get to the book before the meeting, come hang out with us anyway. This program is a pressure-free time to hang out and chat about books.
After you register, drop by the teen library any time during open hours to pick up your book in preparation for the meeting. We’ll meet in person at the library and simultaneously on Zoom to chat about books, so please join us in the venue that is most comfortable for you.
The WordPlay Writers' Club provides a weekly meeting place for young authors who are interested in honing their creative writing skills. The club meets on Tuesdays at 4:30pm in the Teen Project Room to receive prompts, discuss writing tips and tricks, and have fun sharing the projects they have been working on. Membership is free and open to anyone in grades 5 through 12, and a virtual attendance option (via Zoom) is available for those who do not wish to attend in person.
