Join visiting artist Erin Lorenzen to view the new community collaborative work, hear how the piece was created and see Erin's art!
Erin Lorenzen worked with Fayetteville Public Library patrons of all ages throughout her time as Visiting Artist to create a collaborative fiber art piece, which will be displayed in the lobby. This event will allow participants to view this piece, hear about its creation and see more of Erin's work. Light refreshments will be served.
Erin Lea Lorenzen is a multimedia artist whose work explores the relationship between inner experiences and the outer environment. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and Spanish in 2002 and a Master's in Counseling in 2020. Her multimedia work has been celebrated through regional, national and international exhibitions and publications, as well as a grant, a scholarship, a juried selection, a residency, and purchase awards. She has consistently brought Art, Yoga, and Craft programs and events to neighborhood and community centers, detention and rehabilitation facilities, youth service organizations, and exhibition spaces for the past twenty years. Lorenzen loves working in Fiber Arts, often with non-traditional materials. Some of her most popular classes and workshops in the past few years have been centered around stitching and repurposing household materials. Lorenzen has also been practicing and teaching yoga for 20 years.
