In this workshop, Diane Hagerty of Grass Roots Taxes will lead participants through the process of reporting finances to the IRS as a tax-exempt organization.
How do nonprofits do their taxes? Join us for a practical session on nonprofit tax compliance, covering essential federal and state requirements. We’ll walk through a compliance checklist, highlight Arkansas-specific reports, and review IRS Form 990 reporting. The workshop concludes with a Q&A to address your organization’s specific questions.
The Taxes for Nonprofits Facilitator is Diane Hagerty, an expert in taxes with over 30 years of experience in small business, nonprofit, and individual taxation and compliance. Topics may include accessing grant funding, developing new revenue streams, building partnerships, improving community engagement, and more. The next two Essentials NWA workshops at the library are "Financial Management of Nonprofit Organizations" with Kimberly Aaron on January 16 and "Program Budgeting for Maximum Impact" with Melanie Palmer on February 20.
