Book Clubs

Calling all book lovers!

Our book clubs are open to EVERYONE, and you’ll have the opportunity to read and discuss a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles. Some of their recent books include Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson, The Art Thief by Michael Finkel, The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. For upcoming book club titles and meeting details, check our events calendar. Copies of the book selection are available at the Reference Desk on the 4th floor of the library.

First Wednesday of the month at 6pm
Flyway Brewing Company

Enjoy a book discussion outside of the library! This casual book club reads everything from bestselling authors to classics of world literature and is a fun way to connect with fellow book lovers.

This daytime book club meets to discuss a wide range of fiction and nonfiction titles, from literary favorites to bestselling picks. It’s a great space for thoughtful discussion and discovering new reads!

Books & Brews (Handshake)

Second Tuesday of the month at 6pm
Handshake

Expand your reading horizons in a laid-back envirorment! This off-site book club reads fiction and non-fiction, from bestsellers to modern classics. Starting in 2026, this book club meeting location will be moving from Fayetteville Beer Works to Handshake! 

Handshake is located on the 1st floor of the library, near the School Ave. entrance. 

Bring Your Own Book (BYOB) Club

Fourth Saturday of the month at 11am
First Security Bank Board Room

In this new book club experience, we’ll provide a prompt each month and you can pick any book that fits that criteria or genre to read for the upcoming meeting and share with the club! Books will not be provided for this club.

Crimes & Clues

Second Thursday of the month at 9:30am
Ann Henry Board Room

This group discusses a variety of classic and contemporary mysteries. Whether you enjoy a lighthearted cozy, a hardboiled page-turner, or a “cut from the headlines” true crime investigation, these titles will keep you guessing. 

Sleuth or Consequences

Fourth Tuesday of the month at 6pm
Ann Henry Board Room

This group reads mystery books, both fiction and nonfiction. If you love solving puzzles or unraveling real-life mysteries, check out this book club!

Teens: Boundless Book Society (Grades 7–12)

Fourth Monday of the month at 6pm
Teen Project Room & Zoom

The Boundless Book Society is a pressure-free teen book club that features critically acclaimed, diverse books. The best part is, there’s no pressure to read the book before the meeting!
