7-Up!

Congratulations on graduating from the sixth grade and into the wonderful world of volunteer opportunities!

FPL’s youth and teen services department wants you to help with library tasks and fun programs this summer. Volunteering as a 7-Up! is a great opportunity to meet other teens with similar interests to yours, learn more about FPL, and have some summertime fun!

Orientation Sessions

To prepare for this summer of fun, all 7-Up! volunteers are asked to sign up for and attend a special orientation. Please sign up for ONE of the orientation sessions. You must attend one of the orientation sessions to be in the 7-Up! program.

During the Summer

We'll meet each Tuesday at 11am throughout the summer. In addition to the orientation, participants must be able to attend at least four of the meeting dates to be in the program. 7-Up! meetings occur on the following dates: June 13, June 20 & June 27; July 11, July 18 & July 25. 7-Ups! are asked to sign up for a one-hour volunteer shift each week. If you are not in town due to other commitments, please do not sign up for a slot that week.

7-Up! tasks include but are not limited to:

+ Aid with prize giveaways

+ Assist with youth and teen programs

+ Help youth and teen staff with craft preparation

+ Keep the children’s area tidy

+ Organize children’s library materials

+ Special projects
