Celebrate National Poetry Month and experience the unique intersection of photography, and poetry with David Jennings!
Join David Jennings in exploring the intersection between art and poetry, featuring carefully selected photographs, poems written to accompany each photo, and the incredible backstory behind each connection. This event will be hosted in the Walker Community Room, located on the 3rd floor near the Welcome Desk. The author will have books available for purchase and signing following the program.
David Jennings is an amateur photographer and formalist poet. His first book, The Smallest Hint (Yorkshire Publishing 2022), was the Oklahoma Book Awards winner for photography in 2023. Someday, Somewhere (Resource Publications 2023), Jennings’s second book, was an Oklahoma Book Awards finalist in the same category in 2024. His third book, The Ashes (Resource Publications), was released in the fall of 2024, and his most recent book, Dreams Like Mine (Resource Publications) as released in September 2025. The author is a rehabilitation physician in Oklahoma where he resides with his wife and daughter; his work and presentations have been featured in many libraries and bookstores throughout the region.
