Check out a pop-up display and chat with University of Arkansas Museum staff! This month staff will highlight a selection of art prints by French artist Maurice Delavier.
Come see a selection of art prints by French artist Maurice Delavier (1902-1986).
During World War II, Delavier produced many sketches documenting his time as a prisoner in the POW camp Stalag 6-A. He published the sketches in 1946 in Stalag 6-A. A copy of the set was one of many gifts to the state of Arkansas sent on the French Merci Train in 1949. The set is now part of the U of A Museum collection.
The University of Arkansas Museum preserves more than 7.5 million objects that fascinate all types of learners, from researchers and students to hobbyists and children.
