Alice Pleasance Liddell, after her earlier adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, finds herself alone and at loose ends during school holidays. She finds a book of tales by other authors, left for her by her friend Charles Dodgson, aka Lewis Carroll, to be read when he cannot be around to improvise fresh stories for her. We hear what happens when Alice delves into these other adventures.
