SoNA Beyond brings Voces Latinas (Latinx Voices) back to the library to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

The SoNA Beyond series was created to showcase the vast spectrum of possibilities for classical music and to reach audiences in new and innovative ways. Voces Latinas (Latinx Voices) is curated by SoNA musician Raul Munguia (Honduras/USA) and celebrates the vital impact Latinx artists have in culture and our community.

SoNA Beyond - Voces Latinas will take audiences from Mexico through the Andes, highlighting the richness and diversity of classical and traditional repertoire written by Latin-American composers. The performance will feature both pieces that have been under-represented or even unheard as well as more established and well-loved works. Featuring SoNA musicians Duo Capriccioso, South American performing artist and composer Amado Espinoza, and others. Voces Latinas will include treasured time-honored classics as well as contemporary Latinx voices of today.

This concert is co-presented by SoNA and the Fayetteville Public Library in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

About SoNA Beyond:

SoNA Beyond showcases the vast spectrum of possibilities for classical music to reach audiences in new and innovative ways. SoNA Beyond presents a variety of concerts, programs, and other creative arts experiences that go beyond the symphony’s annual mainstage season of concerts. The new series features symphony musicians in creative ways, including chamber music performances, outdoor educational concerts, community partnerships, groundbreaking contemporary experiences, and more.  SoNA Beyond rethinks the boundaries of what a symphony can do to innovate the artform, include new voices, and immerse SoNA in the Northwest Arkansas community – to give audiences an expansive view of what classical music is and who it serves.

SoNA Beyond is sponsored by the Walmart Foundation.
