The French term for "jump" that is universally known in the cooking world. This is a term we have all heard but we might not be doing correctly in our home kitchens. Sautéing uses a small amount of fat to quickly cook food in a hot pan. Sounds simple, but it can be fraught with culinary peril. Make sure that your technique actually enhances the flavor of the dish! The FPL kitchen team will help you avoid common mistakes made while sautéing to ensure that your veggies are crisp-tender, not limp and soggy.
