Cooking Matters for Teens teaches teens how to make healthy food choices, meals and snacks for themselves, their families, and friends.
Students will participate in 6 classes that include ServSafe food safety training (register here) and hands-on cooking lessons that include tasting the food they make while also learning about nutrition, food safety, and healthy cooking on a budget.
Each participant will receive ServSafe Certification plus their own kitchen basics starter kit that includes cookbooks, reusable grocery bags, and kitchen utensils such as measuring cups and spoons, meat thermometers, and oven mitts!
Ages: 13-18
*ServSafe Food Handler certification required
