Lighting for Photography *

Join professional photographer Mary Beth, as we explore lighting techniques to take your photography to the next level!

In this class for beginners, Mary Beth will cover topics from basic set up to lighting concepts. This class will cover the basics of studio and natural light photography from where to position your subjects and where to place lighting equipment for various types of portraits. She will cover topics including:

• How the position of the light affects a photo.
• How to create mood lighting and flattering shadows.
• How different lighting conditions and sources change the colors of the image.
• How to use basic concepts to take control over both natural and artificial light.

Be sure to bring your camera if you have one. Even a smart phone will do!

Mary Beth has more than 13 years of experience in the creative arts and 10 years of teaching experience in public schools, honing her craft. Starting in corporate product photography, she transitioned into capturing the magic of weddings. Mary Beth crafts photos that blend quirks with elegance, ensuring each day is authentically tailored to the couple.
