Each week, teens will explore advanced mathematical concepts.
In partnership with the University of Arkansas Mathematics Department, teens will explore the advanced mathematical concept of elliptic curve cryptography. Students will build their own curves and use them to securely send and receive messages, authenticate them and perform various cryptographic tasks.
This program is open to all teens in grades 8-12. While there are no prerequisites or experience required, mathematical maturity is preferred. Bringing a personal or school laptop or checking out a library laptop is also preferred.
Registration is required and will open on January 1st at 7:00am.
All abilities are welcome. For disability accommodations, call 479.856.7170 or email kidsquestions@faylib.org 2–3 weekdays before a program.
