Licensed Certified Social Worker Elizabeth Demoret and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Craig Jones will offer a presentation about schizophrenia.
This presentation will provide information about schizophrenia, including criteria for the diagnosis, rates of prevalence, risk factors, and treatment. In addition, ways to reduce stigma, methods to help support a loved one with schizophrenia, and hopeful stories of recovery will be shared.
About the presenters
Elizabeth Demoret is a Licensed Certified Social Worker and Program Manager for UAMS Northwest Arkansas Odyssey Clinic, a coordinated specialty care clinic that treats first episode psychosis. She has been in the social work field for 8 years. Most of her career has been working with individuals with serious mental illness, both in acute hospitalization and outpatient mental health settings. Craig Jones will also be speaking. Craig is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Program Manager at the UAMS Odyssey Clinic in Little Rock.
This program is free and open to the public. No registration required. This program follows the first Northwest Arkansas Schizophrenia Conference, happening on January 30 at the Fayetteville Town Center.
