Sleuth or Consequences reads mystery books of all types. This month, the group will read and discuss "The Murders in the Rue Morgue: The Dupin Tales" by Edgar Allan Poe, edited by Matthew Pearl.

This special edition of Sleuth or Consequences will round out 2025 with first title in the coveted "Queen's Quorum," a list of 125 stories or collections chosen by the writers behind Ellery Queen as definitive to Mystery Fiction. The group will read "The Murders in the Rue Morgue: The Dupin Tales" by Edgar Allan Poe, edited by Matthew Pearl, described by Dorothy L. Sayers as "...almost a complete manual of detective theory and practice." Join us to discuss this incredible landmark in literature history and learn a little more about the most famous mystery checklists and the authors behind them!

Copies of the book are available at the Reference Desk on the top floor of the library. You can arrange to get the book using curbside service by calling 479.856.7219.

Sleuth or Consequences will not meet in December.

All abilities are welcome. For disability accommodations, call 479.856.7250 or email questions@faylib.org 2-3 weekdays before a program. Plan your visit by viewing our building map and details on accessibility services.
