Sleuth or Consequences reads mystery books of all types. This month, the group will read and discuss "The Murders in the Rue Morgue: The Dupin Tales" by Edgar Allan Poe, edited by Matthew Pearl.
This special edition of Sleuth or Consequences will round out 2025 with first title in the coveted "Queen's Quorum," a list of 125 stories or collections chosen by the writers behind Ellery Queen as definitive to Mystery Fiction. The group will read "The Murders in the Rue Morgue: The Dupin Tales" by Edgar Allan Poe, edited by Matthew Pearl, described by Dorothy L. Sayers as "...almost a complete manual of detective theory and practice."
Join us to discuss this incredible landmark in literature history and learn a little more about the most famous mystery checklists and the authors behind them.
Sleuth or Consequences will not meet in December.
