Step back in time with presenter Marilyn Heifner as she leads a guided walking tour of Evergreen Cemetery, one of Fayetteville’s most historic burial sites.
Established in 1847, Evergeen Cemetery spans over ten acres and is the final resting place of approximately 3,200 individuals, including prominent early settlers, soldiers, statesmen, and community leaders. Learn about the fascinating history of those who shaped Fayetteville while exploring this beautiful and peaceful site. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. Attendees should meet at the cemetery, located at William and University Streets, and wear comfortable walking shoes, as the terrain may be uneven.
