This program will help you make the most out of visits to your doctor.

County extension agent, Elizabeth Berner, gets you ready for your next doctor visit.

Being able to understand and take the right action to make good health choices is important to improve your overall health. How to Talk to Your Doctor is an evidence-based program guided by the National Cooperative Extension Framework for Health and Wellness. The goals of this program are to increase confidence in filling out medical forms, communicating with healthcare providers, taking medicines as prescribed, and utilizing virtual visits.

How to Talk to Your Doctor aims to build your confidence when talking to your healthcare provider, equip you with the right questions to ask, and provide helpful tools to take along to your visits.

Elizabeth Berner is the Washington County Family and Consumer Sciences extension agent, under the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. As an extension agent she conducts educational programming including nutrition, family life, finance, health and wellness, and works closely with the Extension Homemakers Council. Follow Arkansas Extension FCS - Washington Co. on Facebook for healthy living tips from Elizabeth and the Cooperative Extension Service.
