Learn the basics of CNC! Each participant will earn a digital badge on their library card, allowing them to book the Carbide Nomad 3 through the FPL website.
This lab will focus on using the Carbide Nomad 3 for precision milling projects. We'll cover how to safely operate the equipment, how to prepare your designs, and how to send files to the machine. You'll also learn about selecting the right materials, bits, and following proper operating procedures. This Learning Lab is required for all users before booking an appointment to use the equipment.
Learning Labs are designed for new Fabrication Lab users so that CFI staff can provide information on specific equipment, including proper operating procedures and safety measures. Once patrons have completed the orientation, they will receive a digital badge on their library card, allowing them to easily reserve lab equipment through the FPL website.
