Join multi-award winning composer Dan Robinson as he discusses the tools and techniques for achieving the desired emotional impact with a musical score. He will explore the orchestral instrument groups and sonic tools needed to create that impact. These insights will serve both someone wanting to get into scoring, and anyone needing to commission a score. Knowledge of music theory is helpful but not required.
Dan Robinson earned his Bachelor’s in Music Composition at the University of Missouri in Kansas City Music Conservatory. He has written acclaimed music for television, stage, and screen. His work has been awarded multiple Telly awards for use of music, including a recent 2025 Bronze Telly, and he scored an Emmy-award winning commercial.
