Learn about the lasers! Completion of this Learning Lab is required for all users before booking an appointment to use the laser equipment.
This lab will focus on using the Epilog Zing and Glowforge Pro CO2 lasers for engraving and cutting. We'll talk about how to safely operate the equipment, what materials are approved for use, and how to send files to the lasers. This class is required for all users before booking an appointment on the Epilog Zing or Glowforge Pro lasers.
These orientations are designed for new Fabrication Lab users to gain knowledge on specific equipment, including proper operating procedures and safety measures. Once completing the Learning Lab, participants will receive a digital badge on their library card, allowing them to easily reserve lab equipment on open lab days.
For a list of approved Laser materials, click here or visit the CFI Resources page.
