Cannabis in Science versus Media
This presentation compares how cannabis is portrayed in the media versus what current scientific research shows. Attendees will explore key differences, uncover common misconceptions, and learn how to critically evaluate cannabis-related claims across sources.
Morgan Ferretti is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in experimental psychology. She obtained her masters in Psychological Science from James Madison University in 2022. She studies how cannabinoids affect the mind and body—both the helpful and harmful effects. She is also interested in simultaneous substance use and how it impacts outcomes.
