This talk will review the purpose of anxiety and how avoidance of things that scare us can maintain anxiety. It will also highlight some skills that might help folks confront the "monster in their minds".
Morgan Middlebrooks, MA, is a doctoral student of clinical psychology where she studies the neural correlates of anxiety and cognitive control. In her clinical work she tends to work with individuals who have been diagnosed with anxiety disorders and/or personality disorder.
