Youth Makers Workshop (Grades 6–12) *

Kickstart Entrepreneurship & Information Session

Explore what it means to be an artist-entrepreneur and get the inside scoop on applying to the Amazeum's Youth Maker Market Program. This program is presented by Cox Communications.

In this session, you’ll:

• Identify what you make—and what makes it sellable
• Learn how to do simple market research to understand your audience
• Explore how to create marketing materials that tell your story and showcase your work

You’ll also learn about the Amazeum's Youth Maker Market Program, a free two-month experience where selected teens receive stipends, dedicated workshop time, and mentorship to develop their ideas. The program culminates in a youth-led maker market, where participants sell their work, practice real-world entrepreneurship, and run the event themselves.
