Explorative Dance
Wednesday, April 15
6:00pm - 7:00pm
Fayetteville Public Library
Art & Movement Room (2nd Floor)Join Contact Improv NWA teacher Kyndal Saverse every month for a guided Explorative Dance class.
Explorative Dance emphasizes techniques that are relaxed, investigative, and playful. It uses improvisational practices to invite movers to safely try new and creative ways to explore their own body and rhythms. Unlike dances that provide specific choreographed movements, Explorative Dance provides prompts that encourage a wide range of movement possibilities that allows movers to make their own choices in their own time. Movers may notice their experience shifting as the respond to the energy and choices of others in the group.
Explorative Dance may evolve to contact with others, which in this class will be guided by the instructor. Each class will end with a “Jam” where participants can move, play, and interact freely. All ages and experience levels welcome!
