Archeologist Jami Lockhart will share stories about Arkansas archeology and his multifaceted research.
About the presenter
Jami Lockhart was an archeologist at the Arkansas Archeological Survey for 39 years, during which he researched geophysical remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS). He conducted research at major archeological sites in Arkansas, including Parkin, Plum Bayou Mounds, Carden Bottoms, and Menard-Hodges as well as in surrounding states, such as the Spiro Mounds in eastern Oklahoma. At the University of Arkansas, he served as research faculty in the anthropology department and as cooperating faculty for the Environmental Dynamics PhD program.
