Thursday, August 13
10:00am - 12:00pm
Fayetteville Public Library
CFI: Koenig Family Fabrication & Robotics Lab (1st Floor)Already know Bambu Studio or another slicer? Skip the beginner class and earn your 3D printer certification.
This accelerated certification is designed for experienced makers who are comfortable preparing and slicing their own models and simply need to learn the Fayetteville Public Library's workflow, policies, and equipment. Instead of attending the full CFI Learning Lab: 3D Printing course, participants will complete a brief skills assessment demonstrating proficiency with common 3D printing tasks and an understanding of the Center for Innovation's procedures.
Participants should already be comfortable with topics such as:
- Importing and orienting models
- Basic slicing concepts
- Supports and build plate adhesion
- Layer height and infill settings
- Exporting and sending print jobs
During the Fast Track session you'll demonstrate your skills while learning:
- Library workflow and printing procedures
- Material selection and AMS operation
- Printer policies and safety guidelines
- Cost calculation and print submission
- Equipment-specific features of our Bambu Lab printers
Please note: This Fast Track class is designed for experienced 3D printing users. Participants must demonstrate proficiency with basic slicing concepts, the library's workflow, and safe printer operation to receive certification to use the Fayetteville Public Library's 3D printers. Those who are unable to demonstrate the required skills may be asked to complete CFI Learning Lab: 3D Printing before being certified.
