Starr Foundation Children's Craft Room (1st Floor)Engage with mathematics, strengthen your problem-solving skills, and meet with other students excited about mathematics! This math group prepares fourth through sixth graders for competition.
In partnership with the University of Arkansas, Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS) is an international opportunity for students. We will be meeting weekly to discuss general problem-solving strategies and to work on problems from competitions in previous years. Five competitions will take place approximately once a month.
Meeting and Registration Details
These free meetings start on Wednesday, October 21st and will continue through Wednesday, March 17th. Registration is required and will open for the whole series on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026 at 7am. Meetings will follow Fayetteville Public School and Fayetteville Public Library calendars.
This event is free and open to students in fourth through sixth grade. Students younger than 4th grade who wish to compete can contact kidsquestions@faylib.org.
