The German from Russia’s history is rooted in community, migration, and the land. In this presentation, we’ll travel through time to learn German Russian history, immigration, and homesteading. This will be a great introduction for those interested in German-Russian history and genealogy.
Sara Bailey Roberts is a special projects consultant for the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. She has worked in libraries, archives, and special collections for the last eight years in three states working with materials ranging from environmental literature, digital humanities, Great Plains history, marching bands, and, of course, Germans from Russia. Sara is from Kentucky and lives in Fayetteville with her family.
