Join Taylor Gladwin to learn about food waste diversion in Fayetteville and take home a free food waste bucket!
This presentation will include a description of Fayetteville’s food waste compost programs, how Fayetteville makes its final compost product, the importance of keeping food out of the landfill, highlight the immense benefits of composting food waste, review Fayetteville’s waste stream, offer ways to reduce food waste at home and more!
Fayetteville residents will be able to take home a free food waste bucket to help make participating in Fayetteville’s residential food waste drop-off program even easier! The Recycling and Trash Division’s 16-foot food waste and compost education trailer will also be on display for all to see.
Taylor Gladwin is an Environmental Educator for the City of Fayetteville in the Recycling and Trash Division. She focuses on educating businesses, schools, community groups, and residents of all ages about waste reduction, food waste, composting, and recycling. She has been instrumental in building Fayetteville’s residential food waste drop-off program. Taylor is also earning her Master’s in Sustainable Development and Policy.
