Author Talk: Jerry "J. B." Hogan – "Forgotten Fayetteville"

Walker Community Room (3rd Floor)"Forgotten Fayetteville" is J.B. Hogan's latest creation devoted to retrieving ignored, lost, or forgotten Fayetteville and Washington County history.
Industrious local historian and award-winning author J. B. Hogan has done it again. His meticulous endeavors to preserve the local history has produced his latest creation, "Forgotten Fayetteville." It contains 18 histories that include family histories, crime stories, and important people and places that may have drifted out of our communal awareness.
After the talk, J.B. will answer questions and have some of his books available for purchase and signing.

J. B. Hogan is an award-winning author with over 270 stories and poems and ten books published. He has a Ph.D. in English Literature, worked for many years as a technical writer, and has researched and written extensively on local history. His book Angels in the Ozarks is a history of 1930s professional baseball in the area. He co-authored An Illustrated History of the Fayetteville Square with noted local historian Anthony J. Wappel. His own book of local history articles, Forgotten Fayetteville, is schedule to be published by Oghma Creative Design in October 2021. In October 2019, he received the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Washington County Historical Society and in June 2021 received the Tom Dillard Advocacy Award from the Arkansas Historical Association.
