Orlo Stitt of Stitt Green Energy and sustainability specialist Michele Halsell will lead a discussion on potential and viable climate change solutions and education.
Discussions in this program will include the science of climate change as published by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, environmental impact if climate change continues at its current rate, and pathways to solutions such as re-forestation, improving some agricultural practices, and solar and wind energy generation. The following questions will also be explored:
How do efficiencies, conservation, and personal commitment affect climate change?
What are 50 things each of us can do now—to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere ?
Does the food we eat affect climate change?
How is this all going to be paid for—can we afford to do it?
