In this class, you will learn about conscious and efficient shopping through the use of bulk aisles available in grocery stores. How to use do-it-yourself bulk departments, what product options are available to you and where, and the financial and environmental benefits of buying in bulk will all be discussed. Attendees will also gain an understanding of how to buy the amount they need while using less packaging. The theme of this class is waste reduction by means of responsible and affordable grocery shopping. Join us for an intriguing and educational evening!

This class will be taught by Taylor Gladwin. She is an environmental educator for Boston Mountain Solid Waste District and the City of Fayetteville. She serves on the board and is the Sustainability Coordinator for local music festival Homegrown Music and Mountain Sports Festival. She has a degree in creative writing from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability from the University of Arkansas. Taylor has always had a passion for the environment and compassion for all those we share it with.
