Celebrate National Poetry Month with a poetry crawl! Read Arkansan C.D. Wright’s poem “Flame” as it unscrolls beneath your feet, and join us for a poetry crawl along School Ave to showcase the Topo Map for School Ave and the new poetry installation at Walton Arts Center.

Beginning at Fayetteville Public Library at noon, we will travel down School Ave, stopping at KUAF along the way, before ending in Walton Arts Center’s Rose Garden for a final reading and unveiling of the new poem. Open Mouth Reading Series has lined up local poets to read a selection of works at each site.

Fayetteville Public Library will also host University of Arkansas Libraries Special Collections beginning at noon, who will display first edition volumes of C.D. Wright’s published work, including her own personal copies.
