To provide realistic job training and fundamental skills practice, the Heavy Equipment Operating programs will utilize the Center for Innovation’s numerous simulators. Our simulator lab including a forklift with immersive virtual reality simulations and instructions, and CAT machines that offer simulated learning certificates for hydraulic excavator, dozer, backhoe, loader, and grader. Combined with our training, industry partnerships will aid participants in moving from entry-level learners to certified operators.

The Sit-Down CB Forklift-Simulator features actual OEM controls to ensure consistency when transitioning to real-world applications. The Virtual Reality headset that runs the simulator provides realistic sights and sounds that immerse the user in the forklift operations.
The following additional simulators are also available for those looking to improve their skills or learn to operate a car, truck, or airplane. These simulators are not included in the Heavy Equipment Operation program.
