After a brief talk on solar astronomy, use a solar telescope to safely view the sun!

Up your eclipse game before the total solar eclipse happens on April 8th, 2024. Kent Marts, from Explore Scientific, will provide a brief lesson on solar astronomy in the Ziegler Room. Then participants will move to the gathering glade to look at the sun (safely!) using a solar telescope.

Solar Science kits used at some programming provided by the Arkansas State Library. Funding for this project is provided to the Arkansas State Library by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation with additional support provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
