Seeking financial aid for higher education in August is a busy time for parents and college-bound kids. Among all the other preparations that must be made for the student, financial aid and how to get it is often at the top of the list. But the process can be complicated and very confusing, and making mistakes can have very serious long-term financial consequences.
Eric Miller, MEd, and Senior Counselor for Financial Literacy at the University of Arkansas will be at our August Chai Time to tell you all about the ins and outs of FAFSA and financial aid, how to navigate through the process, and most importantly, how to avoid mistakes! He will explain how the FAFSA works and how to apply for university and outside scholarships to finance higher education.
